Admission to Kindred Barber & Beauty Academy is open to prospective adult age students with a high school diploma or General Education Development certification (GED) and proof of education is required before starting class. A copy of your high school diploma, GED certificate or official transcript (high school, college, GED) showing graduation date is acceptable. During the interview the school program and the individual’s goals will be discussed. Students entering with previous training should have proper documentation from an accredited school.
Prior to starting class, enrollees must meet the applicable program requirements, and provide the following:
Students with disabilities will be accepted for enrollment provided they are able to meet all requirements to complete the program for which they are enrolled. No adjustments will be made to the curriculum to compensate for the disability.
Transfer students will be enrolled for the full contracted hours of the program. Students will receive up to 750 credit hours for previous training from an accredited barber school with proper documentation of hours, services and tests, and after being evaluated in both theoretical and practical abilities by a designated school official. The contracted program will then be modified proportionately and the contracted hours and educational costs adjusted on the student’s tuition/account card. The acceptance of any and/or all of the transferring hours and services is at the discretion of Kindred Barber & Beauty Academy.
